What types of dental services do you offer?

As an experienced Beaverton family dentist, Dr. Barrett offers a comprehensive range of dental care services designed to keep you and your family looking and feeling their best. Whether you need a routine exam and cleaning or cosmetic dental care like teeth whitening and crowns, our team at Barrett Family Dental has you covered.

Can a new patient receive a cleaning during their first appointment?

During your initial appointment, our team will take the time to fully assess the current state of your oral health. Your first appointment will typically include a full series of digital x-rays, a periodontal examination, and a comprehensive exam performed by Dr. Barrett. This will provide our team with the information needed to design a custom treatment plan that meets your individual oral health needs.

While we will do our best to complete cleaning during the first appointment, we may not be able to meet this goal with every patient. Depending on how long it’s been since your last cleaning and the current state of your oral health, a second appointment may be necessary to complete your cleaning.

I’m afraid of the dentist. How can you help?

If the idea of visiting a family dentist in Beaverton causes you to feel a little stressed out, know that you’re not alone. Up to 15 percent of all Americans suffer from some form of dental anxiety, according to the American Dental Association. Unfortunately, avoiding dental care due to anxiety deprives you of the treatment needed to protect your teeth and gums from the effects of dental decay and disease.

At Barrett Family Dental, we go above and beyond to create a comfortable and relaxing office environment where the needs of the patient always come first. If you ever feel anxious or stressed by any procedure or course of treatment, please say something and we will stop and happily talk you through any planned care until you feel comfortable and in control.
